Any specific comments regarding the structure, prize pool, scheduling, and registration system have yet to be issued by officials. It will be the second instalment, following the 2018 maiden PUBG Mobile Campus Championship India.
Details of 2018 Edition of PMCC
The very first PMCC edition was indeed PUBG Mobile’s first-ever LAN event in India. The tournament witnessed a massive 2,500,000 applications coming around from 1,000 institutions and 30 different cities. Merely 20 teams managed to survive to compete for the grand total of 50,00,000 INR prize pool following 12 days of qualifications and knockout sessions.
The LAN Finals took place in Bengaluru. The victorious squad, The Terrifying Nightmares, brought home a total of 15,00,000 INR prize money.
Team NSD’s Eleen Raj got crowned as the MVP of PUBG Mobile Campus Championship. The R4W official’s Hardeep Singh was the best Medic of the event. Also, Team 6ix9ine’s Jatin Gupta was the Lone Ranger of the event to secure the highest kill count in a match.
How is PMCC Revolutionizing the Mobile Esports Scene?
PUBG Mobile has been experiencing rapid growth in the consumer and the number of players since the 2018 version. The Wsports platform has indeed succeeded in creating a self-sustaining environment within the Indian mobile gaming culture. Tencent Games also stretched the boundaries of the Esports sector in India by organizing competitive events at frequent intervals.
The main objective of PUBG Mobile Campus Championship 2020 is to offer opportunities across institutions to all talented students, encouraging them to get close as possible to their ambitions. Ever since that point, talent hunting projects and accessible-to-all competitions have been nourishing future players’ goals and aspirations.
Esports Grandstand will be covering all the PUBG Matches live and will keep you up to date with the latest news.
