New Overwatch League tournament format coming in May

Overwatch League May Tournament Change

The Overwatch league has announce that they will be introducing a new tournament format starting in May. Not only this but the Vancouver Titans will be joining the North America region. Hero pools not returning for tournament, meaning players can choose from every hero for the duration of the tournament.

The new format will see the first three weekends be seeding rounds for an elimination tournament on the fourth weekend. The elimination tournament will be three days long and will result in a team being crowned the tournmanet champions.

Two tournaments will be running at the same time, North America and Asia. With a total prize pool of $125,000 for North America and $100,000 for Asia.
Tim Holloway, Esports director for the Vancouver Titans announced on Twitter that they would be returning to the North American league.
