Tencent Unveiled the Official Schedule for League of Legends Worlds 2020

During the Tencent’s annual Esports Conference, the schedule for the highly anticipated League of Legends Worlds 2020 was officially confirmed. 

The Worlds 2020 Date and Venue

Worlds 2020 is ready to commence on 25th September and come to a conclusion on 31st October with Halloween day. As per the coronavirus outbreak, the entire event will occur exclusively in Shanghai. The finals of the event ought to take place at Shanghai’s Pu dong Soccer Stadium.

The Worlds 2020 Event Schedule

The Worlds Play-in Stage will commence on 25th September that will last until 30th September. The two rounds of Group Stages will run from 3rd October to 6th October and from 8th October to the 11th. The teams that clear the Group Stage will advance to the quarter-finals that will begin on 15th October and end on 18th October. The semifinals and the grand finals will be respectively taking place on October 24-25 and 31st October.

The Worlds 2020 Participating Teams

Regardless of the uncertainties and risks surrounding the event, Worlds 2020 will be taking place. The fans are already beginning to see their beloved players and organizations lock up in their slot to battle on the world stage. Team Liquid and FlyQuest have now matched up in two out of the three Worlds slots in North America’s League of Legends Championship series.

G2 Esports and Fnatic both won their spots the past weekend in the League of Legends European Championship. Europe still accommodates two more slots for the teams to earn them.

The JD Gaming and Top Esports have both reserved their seats in China’s League of Legends Pro League. Although, playoffs are yet to commence in the League of Legends Champions Korea. With so much hype and anticipation, supporters have also already highlighted 25 September on their schedules.
