LCK Summer Split Playoffs Confirmed for 26th August – Preview & Current Rankings

The playoffs for the 2020 LCK Summer Split are just around the corner. The event’s wild card will start on 26th August according to the release schedule whereas the first round will be occurring two days later. The playoff finals will take place on 5th September.

Soon after that, the regional qualifiers will proceed, starting on 7th September and wrapping up on 9th September. The overall purpose is to make sure that the qualified League of Legends teams has enough time to arrive in Shanghai for the World Championship this year.

LCK Teams Standings So Far

The LCK only has one more week of regular-season matches remaining. Four of the total teams have been able to qualify for the playoffs already. Damwon Gaming, DRX, Gen. G, and T1 are all going to the playoffs based on the standings so far. As for the final remaining spot, one of the three teams, Afreeca Freecs, SANDBOX Gaming, or KT Rolster, will fight this week to guarantee it.

The top four teams will contest against each other in the BO5 series. The fifth seed, will undergo a wildcard round, which will be a BO3 series. The fifth seed will face either Gen. G or T1 and the winner will progress into the top bracket of the playoffs to confront DRX and Damwon.

The 2020 LCK Summer Split final regular-season encounters will decide who will become the fourth playoff team to win the title this season.
